Lucita was found abandoned on the side of a busy highway with 8 small puppies. She was rescued and taken to the FRAD foundation and later put into foster and adopted. Lucita was adopted by a wonderful woman who dedicated months to getting her healthy, treating her for heartworm and other health issues. Lucita was having trouble getting along with the other dogs in her house, and had to be surrendered. We decided it was best if Lucita was placed in a home without other animals, and the soul, focus of attention, as she is quite a lover.
In spite of her previous hardships, Kevin knew Lucita, called Lucy, was the dog for him because of how friendly she was as soon as she met the family. After the quick and easy adoption with Cartagena Paws, she made herself at home in their house right away. When she is not going on walks or playing in the backyard, her beloved toy, a large stuffed hedgehog, is taking a beating. Lucy also loves belly rubs and her favorite treats, biscuits and rawhides. As night rolls around, you can find Lucy cuddled up in bed for awhile, but later on the couch so she can stretch out. All and all, Kevin and his family know that Lucy is happy because she is always wagging so much her whole body sways. Published by: Stephanie Hartman
