On February 6th, CTGP rescued two very small pups. They both were dehydrated and emaciated, and suffered from parasites. Sadly the little male passed away in Maureen’s arms on the way to the clinic, but his sister made it all the way. She wouldn’t leave his side at first. She was named Bella by her sponsor, Lucy. Bella had a very rough time. Gratefully she was heart-worm and distemper free, but she was oh so weak. On February 11 Bella had a particularly bad night and we almost lost her. But she survived and it proved to be her turning point. She’s eating like a champ, putting on weight, and playing like a normal healthy puppy! Bella’s sponsor will also be her new Mommy! Congratulations Bella and Lucy! UPDATE: We just went back and rescued Bella's three sisters- Charlotte, Eloise, and Harper. We will share more about these sweet girls in next month's newsletter!
