A New Start!January & February: Thanks to the help of flight volunteers, we were able to fly home Regina´s puppies: Ruben and Romeo to Buffalo, New York! They were both adopted within days and are loving their new families! Reggie, another one of Regina´s pups was adopted by a wonderful woman who was visiting Cartagena, and she flew him back home with her to Washington State! Harvey, a puppy rescued with severe skin problems and parasites was also adopted after 4 months in recovery by a wonderful man from the states, residing in Cartagena, Colombia. On Februrary 28th, Leo was flown home to his forever home in Buffalo, NY. Leo was rescued in April 2016 with a horrible maggot infestation to his face. He has recovered and is ready for a new start! Leo will be our first Cat Rescue to fly to the USA! March & April: In March, we had some wonderful flight volunteers who helped fly Limon and Mac to the USA! Limon was an abandoned kitten who now is happy with her new family in Buffalo, NY. Mac, was a young street dog rescued from a busy intersection and now is with his forever family in Maine! Benito was a young dog rescued from La Boquilla with a horrible skin condition and parasites. His new family paid for his recovery and flight home to Portland, OR! Carly, is a beautiful female dog who spent 5 long years at the foundation. She was flown home with one of our flight volunteers and now lives in Buffalo, NY with Ruben, the puppy we flew home in February! Spencer was our next doggie to fly home to his forever home in Maryland. He was reunited with a woman who was determined to rescue him on her past trip to Cartagena! Pecas also flew home and now is with Buffalo Cares Rescue in Buffalo, NY. We are so happy Pecas was able to overcome all the health obstacles that faced her and now can enjoy her life in Buffalo, NY. Lastly, Ozzie was adopted by a wonderful family here in Cartagena. We are thrilled for all of these lucky animals and can't wait to send more to their forever homes! |
